You say your show is only for children aged 8-12. Why? What if there are younger/older kids there?

The 8-12 range is a general recommendation on which age groups respond best to the type of show I do. As with anything, there are always exceptions to the rule, and I’m happy to accommodate your needs.

I have performed my magic workshop for groups with children much younger than eight and it has gone well, but I feel that the older kids tend to enjoy it more. If you have specific concerns, please contact me so we can discuss them together.

I’m not sure that we have enough room for a magic workshop in the house. How much space do you need?

I need very little space to perform – just standing in the front of the TV or fireplace is usually fine. The children usually find a spot on the floor in front of me. There will be parts of the workshop where the children will break into groups to practice or decorate magic props, but there’s not usually a problem with space.

Do I need to provide anything? A table? Electricity?

Nope. I’ll bring everything I need. All you have to do is provide the audience.

If it’s nice weather, can you perform outside?

Sure, although given the choice between the two I prefer indoors, only because it tends to be less distracting. But the choice is yours!

Is it okay if the kids eat during the show.

I’m there for you, not the other way around. In that sense, I’ll work with whatever your needs are. However, because I do a hands on workshop, I highly recommend that kids eat before or after the show, but not during it.

Do you require a deposit or charge a cancellation fee?

No, but please do try and be courteous if you need to cancel. Because my weekends fill up fast, I’ll likely turn shows away after yours is booked. I understand that things happen, but please try and offer me as much notice as you can so that I can book another show in your spot.

Can we video tape the show?

Absolutely! I just ask that the video be used for private, in home viewing only. Please do not share it publicly, including posting it on Facebook, Youtube or any other video sharing web sites.

Do you offer different packages and different prices?

No – I like to think that I do one thing and do it well. I offer one show, which is a one hour, hands on magic workshop. The show costs $399, which includes all materials for up to 15 children. It only costs $2 for each additional child, up to 20 children. For larger groups, please contact me directly to discuss options.

How far do you travel?

I travel most places in and out of New Haven and Hartford county in Connecticut. If you’re not sure if your town is close enough, there’s no harm in calling me to find out.
